RING VINAGRIP CANVAS
VINAGRIP ring canvas is manufactured from a series of strips that are welded together using intense heat, this bonds the 2 strips together to become one, for larger canvasses more strips are added. To manufacture a printed VINAGRIP canvas the same process is used after each strip or tile has been printed. During the welding process the heat can smudge or discolour the print nearest the heat source or deposit small slubs, in addition slight stretching may occur resulting in misalignment. As ring canvasses are designed to be viewed at a distance from outside the ring then this is rarely noticeable although upon close inspection it is apparent. Once a canvas has been completely welded the print is then coated by hand with a liquid laminate, the areas just outside the print section may also be coated, this is to ensure all the print is covered. This helps protect the print from fading due to exposure to UV light and lengthens the life of the print by helping to protect it from abrasive wear. Although the laminate used dries to a clear coating the laminated portions of the canvas will be apparent.

RING SUPATEX AND TOUGHTEX CANVAS
The intention when supplying a printed textile canvas is to provide a balance between visual impact, value for money and durabilty , this is a trade off, to produce extremely vibrant colours it is necessary to use a less durable textile composition and so wear occurs at an accelerated rate, our TOUGHTEX canvas does provide extremely vibrant graphics but is more suited to large events where the canvas is not in constant use, this canvas option is also the most expensive. The SUPATEX canvas is our best trade off between value for money, impact and durability and is suitable for everyday gym use. The canvas composition is a high strength polyester weave that is both strong and durable and prints well, because it is a non coated textile canvas, the print is absorbed into the fibres and so colours are not vibrant, blacks appear as greys and reds and bright colours will appear flat, the overall effect however is still extremely pleasing. The canvas is printed in a series of strips and then sewn together, during this process stretching of one strip may occur resulting in slight misalignment, as the canvas is produced to be viewed from a distance this is not usually noticeable but upon close inspection will be apparent.
EXAMPLE image below - you can see the black canvas appears grey against the black ring skirts
